Step-by-step guide on how to become an LIC Agent/Adviser

Registration Process

For joining LIC as Insurance Advisor, you have to register with us flling your details in Registration Form and later by submiting your documents

Documents Required

  • 3 Colour Passport Size Photo
  • Photo copy of Age Proof Document { Birth Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate }
  • Photo copies of Educational certificates { 12th Class Marksheet & above }
  • Address Proof document { Elecetricity Bill/ Ration Card / Voter id / Passport }
  • Photo Copy of PAN Card


  • ₹ 150 Registration Fees.
  • ₹ 250 Online Training Fees. No Charges for Classroom training.
  • ₹ 425 IRDA online Examination Fee.
  • Total you have to pay ₹575 for Classroom Training or Total :₹825 for Online Training

Training Process

After successful Registration of your form, You have gone for online training or offline training. After completion of training you will get training certificate.

Training will be for 25 hours.

Training covers all aspects of life insurance business

Examination Process

After successful completion of training, You will have to sit for Pre-Licensing Online Examination conducted by The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).

Exam will be of 50 marks and question will be objective.

You have to get 17 marks to pass exam.

Licensing Process

After successful completion of the examination you will Awarded a license by the IRDA to work as an insurance agent.

You will be appointed as an Agent by The Lic Branch office.

You will be a part of the team under development officer.
